Planning and construction for the DuMont Hotel began in 1900. The first hotel in the county to have indoor plumbing, this revolutionary project also boasted amenities like steam heat, electricity, a ladies' reception room, a bar room, and a wine room.

A NEW CHAPTER
Beginning in summer 2023, the Dumont will undergo a complete revitalization to preserve its legacy for future generations. The building façade will be repaired and restored, and all floors will receive a full remodel. The completed project will be a modern place for dining, working, gathering, and collaborating.
OTTAWA BREWING COMPANY
The first floor of the Dumont will be home to Ottawa Brewing Company. The mission of OBC is to provide quality craft drinks and cuisine in a unique environment steeped in local history and charm. With a tap room, restaurant, and large private event space, the OBC will become a modern spot for family, friends, and neighbors to gather.

With over 30 years of experience in the design and construction industry, Technicon Design Group continues to expand their services and grow the team. The Dumont will be a new home for these architects, designers, and engineers.
